Kenya Women Microfinance Bank Limited

is seeking to recruit experienced and highly motivated individuals for the

following positions:





1. Livestock Agri-Business Manager
 


Reporting to the General Manager –

Research & Product Development, the incumbent of this position will be

responsible for driving the Bank’s sustainable and comprehensive financial

solutions to the various livestock agribusiness value chains like dairy farming,

poultry farming, aqua farming (fish), apiculture (bees) and others for the

growth of the Bank’s livestock agribusiness portfolio.



Specific Responsibilities


·                    
Oversee the Livestock agribusiness

operations of the organization by providing leadership to KWFT sales team.


·                    
Managing a growing and sustainable

Livestock agribusiness portfolio through developing new opportunities with

existing clients and acquiring new clients through networking with agribusiness

value chain players.


·                    
Developing financial products that

address the needs of the livestock agribusiness farmers and generate effective

and efficient marketing strategies.


·                    
Conduct assessment of the training

needs of small-holder farmer clients and KWFT staff on fundamentals of

livestock agri-business.


·                    
Develop, prepare and implement

livestock agribusiness training curriculum and modules to create sustainable

capacity building and support systems and establish the Bank’s farmers’

resource centre.


·                    
Identifying and developing

sustainable partnerships and initiatives with internal and external

stakeholders that seek to address clients’ livestock agribusiness needs.


The required qualifications and key

attributes include the following:


·                    
Must have a Bachelor of Science in

Animal Production degree from a recognized University.


·                    
Must have at least 5 years experience

in Livestock Agribusiness development preferably in a financial institution.


·                    
Strong research, analysis and

strategic planning skills.


·                    
Proven good marketing and training

skills.


·                    
Must have good general management,

team leadership and people development skills.


·                    
Possess high communication skills;

good interpersonal skills, excellent presentation and written skills.


·                    
Be willing to travel.


Reporting to the General Manager Risk

and Compliance, the incumbent(s) will be responsible for compliance related

matters in the bank.
 


Specific Responsibilities


·                    
To ensure compliance of the

applicable legislation & company policies by staff & regularly review

and monitor business operations and reporting thereon.


·                    
To conduct training on compliance

matters.


·                    
To facilitate resolution of

compliance breaches.


·                    
Facilitate the process of identifying

and mitigating compliance risk.


The required qualifications and key

attributes include the following:


·                    
Must have a degree in a Business

related degree.


·                    
At least 3 years’ experience in the

financial services industry in Risk, Compliance, Operations, Legal, Finance, or

Audit.


·                    
Professional qualifications e.g.

CPA/ACCA will be an added advantage.


·                    
Strong analytical skills.


·                    
Good communication and interpersonal

skills.


Reporting to the General Manager,

Corporate Affairs, the Legal Officer will be responsible for the following:
 


Specific Responsibilities


·                    
Reviewing and drafting contracts and

lease agreements.


·                    
Coordinating and managing the

litigation portfolio of the Bank.


·                    
Liaising with external lawyers on

litigation matters for or against the Bank.


·                    
Representing the Bank in court

proceedings and ensuring timely gathering of evidence as required.


·                    
Providing legal advice to the Bank on

existing and emerging legal issues.


·                    
Reviewing and advising the Bank on

laws that may have an impact on its business.


The required qualifications and key

attributes include the following:


·                    
Holder of LL.B degree from a

recognized institution.


·                    
Post Graduate Diploma from the Kenya

School of Law.


·                    
Advocate of the High Court of Kenya

with a current practicing certificate.


·                    
One year post admission work

experience preferably in litigation.


·                    
Good communication and interpersonal

skills.


·                    
Ability to work independently and in

a team.


·                    
An apt learner.


·                    
Highly motivated and passionate about

the job.
