Systems for Performance Based Development of Kenya’s Export Sector
Kenya is in the second medium term of implementation of the developmental blue print, the Kenya Vision 2030 where; International trade falls among the key sectors that have been earmarked as critical towards the attainment of an annual GDP growth of at least 10% per annum to the year 2030.In view of rejuvenating the performance of Kenya’s exports, the Council wishes to undertake an objective analysis of Kenya’s export sector with a view to establishing systems for performance based development of Kenya’s export sector to enable both internal and external competitiveness and; ultimately achieving a stable annual export growth target of 20% per annum.
To establish performance based systems for the development of Kenya’s external sector.
The Export Promotion Council is undertaking needs analyses and critical assessment to identify factors that create the instability in the sector’s performance and isolate those measures that would lead to a stable export growth, sustainable at a minimum average of 20% per annum growth levels, that was envisaged in the Private Sector Development Strategy policy document; and adopted in the Second Medium Term Plan of the Kenya Vision 2030.The Export Promotion Council hereby invites bids from consultants with competencies to undertake complex international trade and economic analytical assignments.The right entity for the assignment need to have thorough knowledge of Kenya’s export sector and capacity to deliver demonstrable S.M.A.R.T outcomes.
