We are inviting applications for the following positions:
 



1. Project Implementation Officer -Health
 



Based in Homa Bay, the position is a three-year contract reporting to the Programme Implementation Manager.




Purpose of the Job and Key Responsibilities: The main purpose of this position is to implement the day to day activities of the integrated health project in Homa Bay. 



This project aims to achieve sustained improved household sanitation and hygiene behaviour, promote safe motherhood and prevent unplanned pregnancies among the youth. 




The project also focuses on increasing chances of child survival as well as improved maternal and child nutrition.




The key responsibilities are but not limited to:


  • Mobilisation and Participatory Planning

  • Project Implementation

  • Partnership Management

  • Documentation and Reporting


Qualifications and Experience


  • A Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or any health related discipline

  • At least 3 years’ experience in project management/coordination in Health issues

  • Conversant with managing integrated health programs

  • Strong knowledge of community development


2. Project Implementation Officer – Governance
 



This is a one year contract based in Homa Bay. 



The position holder will report to the Programme Coordinator PRAAC.
 



Purpose of the Job and Key Responsibilities: The main purpose of this position is to implement the day to day activities of a project funded by the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) titled: Promoting Rights and Accountabilities in African Communities (PRAAC) ending in June 2016. 



This project uses integrated development strategies to facilitate realization of health rights by marginalized women of all ages, youth and people with disability.




The key responsibilities are but not limited to:


  • Mobilisation and Participatory Planning

  • Project Implementation

  • Capacity Building

  • Stakeholder Relationship Management

  • Monitoring, Evaluation and Documentation


Education, Qualifications and Experience


  • A Bachelor’s degree in Education/Social Sciences or Development Studies

  • At least 3 years’ experience in project management/coordination in governance related issues

  • Knowledge, understanding and ability to apply good governance, advocacy and policy influence strategies

  • Strong knowledge of community development

  • Experience in Education/Health/Gender related projects, partnership building, networking and collaboration with the national and county government and other actors including the private sector are a critical requirement


3. Community Development Facilitator
 



The position is a one-year fixed term contract and will be based in Kisumu. 



The position holder will report to the Sponsorship Coordinator – Kisumu.
 



Purpose of the Job and Key Responsibilities: The main purpose for the job is to mobilize community for sustained participation in sponsorship issues as per the corporate standards.
 



The key responsibilities are but not limited to:


  • Training of youth volunteers

  • Working with Sponsored Children and their families, Community Based Organizations and other staff

  • Monitoring, Evaluation and Documentation


This position is open to local residents of Kisumu and its environs only
