Job Title: Manufacturing Commercial Manager

Our client in the industrial manufacturing industry seeks to hire a focused professional commercial manager who will develop and execute commercial, sales and marketing strategies for the business while providing leadership in the sales and marketing and commercial divisions.
He/She will also guide the company in product and financial analysis that optimises on profit margins while opening new markets while advising on new products and expanding markets.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Manage the development of the company strategic plan and business plan with specific input on the commercial function.
- Develop and execute a commercial, marketing and sales strategy for the company
- Map up the target territories with recommended product lines
- Lead and drive the focus on performance priorities and be the engine for seeking and delivering business improvements.
- Take the lead on value improvement initiatives including interface with functional units such as Sales, Procurement, Manufacturing and Marketing
- Recruitment, training, motivating and supervising of departmental staff
- Drive performance management on the key performance indicators including sales volume, new markets development, price achievement, profitability and working capital.
- Deliver the annual budget, marketing plans and monthly forecast for the business
- Develop and continuously improve business models
- Deliver profitability analysis at product level and linkage to commercial decisions
- Provide commercial input into business reviews and potential opportunities
- Identify major accounts and embark on Major Account Development
- Carry out research on new products, new territories and improvement of current products
- Work closely with manufacturing function in design and development of new innovations
- Develop a brand image in cooperation with the board and ensure the communication of the brand promise by all staff
- Develop and recommend distribution channels
- Establish and implement customer focus strategies
Skills and knowledge job demands
- Bachelors Degree in Commerce, Finance, sales and Marketing or any other Business related course
- Minimum of 10 years in similar position, 3 of which must have been in management
- Experience in manufacturing of Fast Moving goods is relevant
- Self motivated, can work under minimum supervision
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent people relationship skills
- Numerate, ability to work with numbers
- Proven analytical strengths
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
