Kenya Biologics Ltd. aims to provide farmers with affordable and efficacious pesticides that do not harm the environment or leave any residues on crops.

Job Title: Sales Representative Smallholders


Location: Bungoma county and surroundings; Kericho county and surroundings; Migori county and surroundings;


About the role: As a Sales Representative Smallholders you will be responsible for sales to tomato smallholders in your area. You will visit tomato farmers and explain about our specific products. You will gather farmer groups and cooperatives to do demonstration trials and showcase our products.



Tomato is one of the most widely grown and consumed vegetables in Kenya. Twenty-one percent of the total value of all vegetables grown in Kenya is derived from tomatoes. 



Tomatoes are grown on 23,870 hectares in Kenya. Less than a year ago the most devastating pest on tomatoes was discovered in Kenya; it has already caused losses up to 100%. Kenya Biologics has an effective program to tackle this pest.

We are looking for a total of six Sales Representatives for either Bungoma, Kericho, or Migori county.


Key Criteria


In order to be eligible you need to possess the following characteristics



  • Reliable personality

  • Affinity with sales

  • Ability to work autonomously


In order to be eligible you need to possess the following background/knowledge


  • Experience with farming (preferably tomato farming)

  • Knowledge of pests and agrochemicals

  • Knowledge of spoken and written English, Swahili and the local language in the area of responsibility


It is a must that you are willing to relocate to the area of responsibility.

We offer


You will receive training on marketing and sales as well as on Kenya Biologics’ products. 




After the training you will find yourself in a challenging job where you will be able to work independently.

You will receive 21 days paid annual leave on top of the regular holidays.


Salary: KES 10,000 – 15,000.
 




On top of your monthly salary you will receive an attractive commission on your sales. All your expenses such as travel costs will be reimbursed to you.

Reporting to: Manager Marketing and Sales


Hours: Full time (45 hours)
