Background: UNDP Kenya is supporting devolution, through a programme implemented together with the Government of Kenya and other stakeholders. UNDP is currently leading the process of the formulation of the Joint UN Strategy on Devolution. The next phase of support to devolution includes working with the National Government, selected County Governments, and Civil society Organizations. This programme will be implemented within the framework of the joint UN Strategy on Devolution.
UNDP is seeking the services of a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer - Devolution to be based at the Country Office.
Required Skills and Experience:
Education: A Master’s Degree preferably with major in Management, Statistics, Public Administration or related social science.Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in programme/project management in a governance related field.At least 5 years’ experience in monitoring and evaluation in development project activities, preferably in donor supported projects.Experience in working with UNDP Programmes would be an advantage.Excellent ICT and computer skills especial knowledge on SPSS.Research background will be an added advantage.Experience with project management would be considered an asset.Experience with computers and office software packages.Solid experience in establishing relations and working with donors and other development partners.The full terms of reference for the position can be accessed on the UNDP Kenya e-Recruitment portal on the UNDP Kenya website - http://www.ke.undp.org/
