Role Overview: The Enrollment Field Officer is the front-line of interaction with recipients in enrolling them into Give Directly’s program. They visit recipient households, administer a survey, and explain aspects of Give Directly’s program to them. Responsibilities and exact activities vary by team.
A Field Officer must have a strong interest in advancing the distinctive values and mission of GiveDirectly.Meet with the village elder and guides to understand village boundariesWorking with a partner, visit every household in the village, excluding no-oneComplete census surveys using ODK with accurate dataExplain Give Directly’s program to eligible householdsProvide cell phones and SIM cards as appropriateIdentify and eliminate ineligible householdsComplete surveys using ODK with accurate dataExplain safety and readiness information to recipientsEnsure someone in the household is ready to operate the phone to access transfersIdentify and eliminate ineligible householdsComplete surveys using ODK with accurate dataA given Field Officer will be a member of one of these teams.
Diploma or Degree in a relevant field.At least 1 year working experience with vulnerable communitiesFluency in English and Luo; excellent written and oral communication skills.Basic computer knowledge and skills and good typing skills.Previous work experience with GiveDirectly is an added advantage.Empathy, honesty, and the highest standards of integrity.Comfortable interviewing individuals within their homes in the field.Patience and good judgment in resolving recipient problems.Ability to comfortably work with and within different teams.To Apply: Applications should include a Cover Letter(Indicate the vacancy number) and Current Curriculum Vitae with 3 references, daytime phone number(s), email address, your scores or grades and other measures of academic achievement, and details about any relevant work experience.
