USAID Somalia TIS Program Procurement Manager Job in Nairobi Kenya

Do you want to make a difference in Somalia? Would you like to join a dynamic team working on stabilization initiatives for Somalia? USAID Transition Initiatives for Stabilization (TIS) program: The Transition Initiatives for Stabilization (TIS) program is funded by USAID and implemented by Development Alternative Inc (DAI), an international development organization. It responds to the complex crisis that has evolved in Somalia and Somaliland by mitigating conflict, promoting stability and community cohesion, and increasing public confidence in governance. TIS implements quick impact activities linked to longer-term stabilization goals.

The TIS program is currently seeking a skilled, diplomatic, effective, and highly motivated Procurement Manager to join our Nairobi based team. This position involves travel to project areas in South Central Somalia, Puntland and Somaliland.University degree in Political Science, International Relations, International Development, International Business, Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field.Five years of progressively responsible professional experience are required.Three to five years of experience working on USAID funded projects is preferred, but not required.Experience as a team manager overseeing procurement processes highly desired.Previous experience working in Somalia preferred.In addition, must be flexible, willing to perform assigned and additional duties and work irregular hours under unpredictable conditions.Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to manage a diverse range of professional relationships essential.Excellent ability to manage multiple complex processes under pressure is essential.English language fluency required.
