KPMG‘s Finance unit is an internal Business Support Service whose priority is to support the firm in achieving its strategic priorities by offering technical expertise in Finance and Accounting.
We are looking for engaged, dynamic and motivated professional to work as part of the Finance Unit in the role of a Senior Accountant.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Payables accounting (supplier’s reconciliations)
- Inter office accounts reconciliations
- Bank reconciliations
- Control accounts balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintenance of fixed assets schedules
- VAT, WHT reconciliations
- Checking of petty cash for reimbursements
- Verification of stock reconciliations
- Preparation of monthly and weekly finance accounts
- Providing support to the firm’s business units
- Budget preparation and variance analysis
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Business Administration or related discipline with at least 4 years work experience in finance and accounting
- CPA or ACCA
- Strong excel/data analysis and manipulation skills
Skills and Attributes
- Possess a proven and consistent track record for at least two years in accounting and/or finance
- Good spoken and written English language skills
- Ability to undertake multiple tasks of an engagement gaining management and supervisory skills
- Have demonstrable enthusiasm, drive and initiative
- Ability to interpret financial data
- Be a team player, capable of coaching and developing finance and accounting staff and
- Hands on experience with integrated accounting packages
