The Supply business in involved in production and distribution of beer and spirits. Effective Supply Chain Planning and efficient logistics are key to the realization of customer satisfaction, sustaining competitive advantage, maintaining EABL’s position among leading-edge companies and maximise utilisation of assets.
Market Complexity Returnable packaging are business assets and key determinants of competitive business across the entire supply chain and therefore requires accurate planning and analysis of all returnables.
Purpose of the Role To ensure optimal inventory holding of returnable packaging materials on all EABL business units to facilitate packaging of finished goods in line with supply requirements.
Dimensions
Daily planning and tracking of empties to ensure uninterrupted packaging in Tusker, Port Bell and Highlands Nyeri.Provide empties strategic plan through the use of ATK model.Product acquisition of all returnable/non returnable packaging materials i.e. empties, shells, keg barrels and layer boards, pallets, glass and pet bottles for spirits for both Uganda and Kenya.Managing and tracking the physical movements through the supply chain and ensuring product flow documentation (SAP records) are maintained.Managing transactions in line with CARM/GAR procedures.Maintaining inventory levels through set inventory policies in line with business objectives while ensuring customer requirements are met.Planning, projecting and making justifications for procurement requirements at each financial year.Maintenance of empties requirements forecasting toolCoordination of sourcing plans with alignment to CGI calendar and other related suppliers.Analysis of returnables requirements and eventually prompting order placement in line with inventory policies.Holding optimal returnables to support demand requirements and in line with plant capacityAlign EABL empties requirement with C.G.I calendarProvide business justification for acquisition of all glass requirements in EABLQualifications and Experience
Business related degree with professional qualification in Supply Chain management.Minimum 3 years experience in Supply Chain, Procurement or Logistics.Hands on experience in ERP systems.
