Minimum 10 years relevant experience with USAID or other donor-funded programs in a fragile or post-conflict environmentAdvanced degree in a relevant social or administrative science requiredProgressively responsible managerial background with at least 5 years managing projects of similar scale, scope, and technical focus and 1 year in a fragile state contextSuccessful track record as a proactive project director or chief of party who collaborates effectively with counterparts, other contractors, donors, and a culturally diverse workforce Minimum eight years relevant experience with USAID or other donor-funded programs in a fragile or post-conflict environmentBachelor’s degree in a relevant social or administrative science required; advanced degree preferredFluent in USAID policies and procedures regarding financial management and reporting, procurement processes, systems, and grants or grants under contract managementExperience in Africa with rapid transition programs in closed societies and insecure environments desirable; experience in Somalia highly preferredLegislative and Institutional Strengthening Team LeaderMinimum five years experience engaging legislative processes at the national and regional level and/or policymakers and/or civil servants in transitional, nascent, or weak government institutionsExperience with a USAID-funded project or similar international organization preferredBachelor’s degree in a relevant social or administrative science required; advanced degree preferredOutreach and Citizen Engagement Team LeaderMinimum five years experience engaging civic actors, particularly women, youth, marginalized groups, and the media, with national, regional, or local level governmentsExperience with a USAID-funded project or similar international organization preferredBachelor’s degree in a relevant social or administrative science required; advanced degree preferredBachelor's degree requiredMinimum three years of experience in grants design and administration, management, and oversight required Familiarity with contract management and grants management policies and proceduresExperience with small-scale civil works projects preferredPlease submit cover letter, resume, and three professional references to SomaliaSSGRecruit@gmail.com by June 13, 2014. Please indicate the position title in the subject line of the e-mail. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. No telephone inquiries, please.
