We are currently recruiting in Kenya for our client a key player in the logistics and supply chain industry.Develop and implement plans for Kenya operations that would build and enhance the company brand equityNegotiate and build favourable business relationships with external parties such as carriers, Government Agencies that would improve competitiveness and quality of service to our carriersEstablish operational policies, procedures, and best practices that would bring in operational efficiencies and improve customer satisfaction.Review and track progress against targets; analyse reports; recommend and implement any changes to existing plans and operating budgets.Engage active dialogues across different product line, by establishing strong partnering relationships across all parts of the operation so that the business unit operates seamlessly and is easy for its customers to do business with.Ensure strict compliance in ensuring all invoicing is done within 24 hours from the time job is completed.Proactively coordinate with finance departments to ensure active follow ups on Accounts Receivables and ensure Payments are received on time.Support the Sales Function, in the sales process through customer site visit, contract discussions and negotiating favourable rates with carriers.Engage key accounts; build and maintain relationship to facilitate and promote business; ensure customer satisfaction is maintained at all levels of the operations.Proactively monitor and assess competitor initiatives; take tactical actions to counter, protect and enhance the company’s brand equity.Work closely with other internal (country and regional) departments and stakeholders through regular meetings to ensure information exchange.Provide weekly and monthly reports, data, research, market intelligence to the C.E.O highlighting business performance, competitive offerings and customer expectations.Qualification, Experience & SkillsBachelors Degree in Business/ Logistics5 to 10 years as Head of Operations in Logistics IndustryStrong interpersonal skillsCommunication skillsTime managementNegotiation skillsGood knowledge of English, Gujarati and basic KiswahiliHave strong knowledge of Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Customs Regulations, Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) RegulationsGood contacts with Shipping and Air lines , KRA, and KPAQuality and HSE skillsDemonstrated experience in financial planning and analysis.Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment.Knowledge in Customs Rules and Regulations.If you are up to the challenge, posses the necessary qualification and experience, please send your CV only quoting the job title on the email subject (Dep.
