Support Analyst - Enterprise Systems Support (Retail Systems)

We are pleased to announce the following vacancy in the IS OPERATIONS Department within the Technology Division. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below:

Reporting to the Senior Manager - Enterprise Systems Support the role holder will provide expert technical support to existing and upcoming Revenue Systems, POS and related applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure Data and/or Application Availability of the assigned systems and applications;Participate in Testing and Implementation of new products, services or upgrades;Provide secondary and tertiary support (and management where applicable) for all Revenue Systems and MPESA and their interfaces;Perform Systems and Applications Monitoring;Ensure Documentation and Policy implementation.University Degree in Computer Science or IT Related field;Programming skills in any 4GL or a functional programming language e.g. SQL;Oracle DBA training is highly recommended;Proficiency in UNIX/Linux would be an added advantage;3-4 years of work experience in a client server environment;2 years DBA and/or Application Support experience;Highly developed analytical thinking skills;Ability to manage customers and fellow team members;Team player;If you feel that you are up to the challenge and possess the necessary qualification and experience, please send your resume with your cell phone contact indicating your experience and why you are the most suitable candidate for the role clearly quoting the job title and job reference to the address below by Tuesday 24th December 2013.
