Sales & Marketing Specialist - Surgical

Olympus is seeking highly committed and enthusiastic individuals to join our multi-national medical equipment company in two available Sales & Marketing Specialist roles, working throughout the Sub-Saharan Africa region (excluding South Africa).The successful candidate will be responsible for target sales revenue, which is to be achieved through the effective motivation, training and management of the local Olympus distributors. As a result, this role requires extensive travel throughout the region and involves meeting with customers and also attending/organising conferences & workshops.
Applicants must be educated to a minimum of degree level, possess strong commercial acumen and ideally be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the desire to work hard and succeed in a competitive market, are important pre-requisites. A working knowledge of French will be of advantage The successful candidate should ideally reside in Kenya and be fluent in written and spoken English.
The formulation of strategies and action plans for both product portfolios and distributors with specific targets, KPIs and associated measuresMarket research & development, which will broadly assess the potential of their specific clinical area in the geographical region, and how this can be developedIn-field & remote product support and training for areas of clinical speciality both for the distributors and end-user customers in the geographical regionSupport of educational activities & scientific exhibitions, including the development of training events and hands-on workshopsHealthcare professional expert development and product/prototype demonstrations
