Vacancy: Project Assistant, IWA
Working in collaboration with the International Water Association (IWA), a short term opportunity exists for a highly motivated individual who will assist in delivering the technical programme, managing data requirements and providing IT and general administrative support.Under the general guidance of the Project Officer, IWA, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the website, responding to information requests and enquiries, setting up and maintaining files or records, and organising meetings and workshops. 
Specific duties will inter alia include:-Providing support to the project team including participation and assistance in technical aspects of the programme as may be requiredAssisting in the preparation and conducting of project meetings and events.Assisting in the preparation of project concepts, reports and briefing materials as may be necessaryProviding administrative and logistical support for travel arrangement for the project staff and counterparts, while maintaining and updating travel plansPeriodically gathering necessary information and updating the project websitesAssisting in the financial management of the project by compiling expenditure accounts, generating financial reports, raising requisitions etc.Routing project correspondence, maintaining a follow-up system and drafting replies and other correspondence as may be requiredBachelor's degree or higher in Water Sciences/Engineering, Natural Resources Management, Environment or other related fieldsQualification and working knowledge of website development and maintenance using basic HTML and JavaScript or any Content Management System highly desirablePreferably at least 1 year experience in a relevant positionHigh level of computer Literacy (Standard software, Internet, E-Mail, etc.)Excellent command of written and spoken English is essentialAbility to work effectively with diverse multicultural and multidisciplinary teamsExperience in managing and maintaining websites an advantage
