Duties and Responsibilities

• Implementing nutrition programs, providing nutrition services in health care facilities


• Conducting nutrition assessments


• Collecting and compiling nutrition data


• Providing nutrition health education and demonstrations, counselling of patients with specific nutritional needs


• Monitoring preparation of therapeutic feeding programs


• Promoting maternal, infant and young children feeding programs and providing micronutrient supplementation 


• Any other relevant duty and responsibility within the County Health Department

Requirements for appointment

• Diploma in community Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition or Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognized institution 


• Must be a Kenyan Citizen


• Must be registered by the Kenya Institute of Nutritionists and Dieticians (KNDI)


• Certificate in computer applications

General conditions for all applicants

• Must fulfil expectations of chapter six of the constitution of Kenya


• Terms of service are on Permanent and Pensionable
