We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Marketing Manager to join our team in Kenya and oversee marketing efforts for the East African region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing and a proven track record of success in the smartphone and PC distribution industry. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing strategy, identifying target markets, and creating targeted marketing campaigns to reach potential customers. You will also collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute promotional activities and sales initiatives, and analyze market trends and customer insights to inform marketing decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy for the East African region, including traditional and digital marketing efforts
- Identify target markets and create targeted marketing campaigns to reach potential customers, including social media campaigns, email marketing, and content marketing
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute promotional activities and sales initiatives, including in-store promotions, events, and product launches
- Analyze market trends and customer insights to inform marketing decisions, including conducting market research and gathering customer feedback
- Manage the marketing budget and allocate resources effectively, including managing contracts with vendors and agencies
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, including tracking key performance indicators such as website traffic, lead generation, and sales conversions
- Build and maintain relationships with key partners and stakeholders, including suppliers, distributors, and media outlets
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new marketing technologies, including attending conferences and networking events
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years of marketing experience, with a strong focus on the smartphone and PC industry
- Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to lead and motivate a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present and persuade effectively
- Experience in Media buying and having database of local service providers
- Understanding of consumer electronics industry and retail
- Proficiency in market research and analysis, including the ability to gather and analyze data to inform marketing decisions
- Experience developing and implementing marketing campaigns, including creating marketing plans and budgets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and marketing software, including email marketing platforms and social media management tools
- Degree in Marketing would be an advantage
- Fluency in English is required, fluency in additional East African languages is a plus.
