Information Management Officer at Siaya County Government


The County Government of Siaya e-Citizen resource site is about expanding participation in government, encouraging community involvement, promoting a strong democracy, and improving government accountability.


Duties and Responsibilities



  • Answer enquiries from the media and other organizations

  • Monitor the media, including newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcasts, newswires, social media sites and blogs for relevant information and disseminate the same for appropriate action where necessary.

  • Disseminate County Government information to the population at the local level

  • Assist ward administrators and village administrators in public participation activities

  • Inform the public on County Government policies and interventions

  • Preform any other duties assigned by County information management officer


Requirements for Appointment



  • Be a Kenyan Citizen

  • Diploma in a relevant field from an institution recognized in Kenya

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage

  • At least 3 years’ relevant experience

  • Computer application certificate
