Univus is a student-only social network that allows students in universities around the world to come together to chat, connect and collaborate. We launched our app in Kenya in 2022 and are expanding rapidly. As such, we are looking for suave campus students to represent and help us grow. To achieve this, the right candidate must have the following qualifications:
Qualifications
- Be a current student in any of the following universities:
- University of Nairobi
- Kenyatta University
- Strathmore
- USIU
- Daystar
- Technical University of Kenya
- JKUAT
- Have a GPA of at least 3.5/4.0
- Have experience moderating talk sessions or creating talk events OR moderating seminars, classes, group work, group studies, class projects or similar tasks that require organizing talks with others
- Be in a leadership position at a student club or organization
Role
The selected candidates will be tasked with the following roles:
- Organizing high quality conversations with at least 10 other people in the audience
- Organizing high quality conversations with at least one other speaker
- Selecting topics for discussion and making those as interesting as possible (note that topics can range from academic stuff, life, social, cultural and many more as long as they are relevant to your particular audience)
- Selecting the audience to speak with and growing this audience steadily (the first week you might have 10 people per session, the following week 20 and so on. Compensation will increase with performance)
- Telling others about Univus and why they should join
- Sharing invitation links with others
The selected candidate will plan and hold Univus chat hub conversations at least 3 times in a week at a time of their choosing. Each conversation should last at least 1 hour.
Compensation: KES 500 per conversation/ topic
