Our client in the finance industry is seeking to fill the position of a software engineer intern.

Salary: 20,000

Responsibilities

As a software engineer, your responsibilities will include:

1. Developing web applications (front end and back end), ensuring user requirements are met


2. Designing database systems for web applications, ensuring efficient data storage and consistency


3. Writing reusable, testable and clean code


4. Maintaining web applications, ensuring uptime and dependability


5. Working with designers to ensure that web applications developed are intuitive and user friendly


6. Providing technical support to users

Required Qualifications:

1. Computer Science (or related) degree.


2. At least 2 years of experience developing in JavaScript and PHP


3. Advanced knowledge and experience with PHP and basic knowledge and experience with Laravel framework.


4. Advanced knowledge of JavaScript and experience with modern JavaScript frameworks


5. Solid foundational skills of computing and algorithms


6. Knowledge in database design.


7. Knowledge in software design patterns


8. Appreciation of web interfaces and user experiences


9. Proficient understanding of version control systems (GIT)


10. A passion for computing and software and engaging learning experiences, as well as desire to make a difference in a highly productive environment
