The Uongozi Centre is a unique programme at the M-PESA Foundation Academy that aims to enhance the leadership potential, develop skills in independent thinking as well as assist our learners to incubate business ideas and community projects. The Centre also seeks to support the transition of secondary school scholars into university and other tertiary institutions.

Uongozi Centre has designed a bespoke curriculum Which has 18 modules to equip and prepare high school graduates (16-19 years old) for transition to their tertiary education. This curriculum is aimed at developing learners who can critically engage with African history, culture, art, literature and philosophy among others, and who will thus develop a deep understanding of Africa’s heritage and develop ideas around how its journey of development can be better served and achieved.

The Uongozi Centre is seeking to recruit consultants to conduct training for post-high school scholars in preparation for tertiary education and independent living based on the bespoke curriculum designed by Uongozi Centre as per the TOR

• Research and research methods


• Philosophy, history and culture


• Governance and Ethics


• International Relations


• African Literature


• Life Skills


• Living and abroad


• Self-awareness and empathy


• Responsibility


• Mental health and positive attitude


• Sexuality and reproductive health


• Sustainability


• Leadership, and Critical and Design Thinking


• Computer proficiency


• Business and Entrepreneurship


• Outdoor, Sports and Wellbeing activities


• Multimedia learning content development and optimization.

The Modules are independent, candidates are advised to apply for modules they are qualified for.

 Application is open to individual consultant  and training institutions e.g Universities, Business schools
