PSI’s Nairobi Global Services Hub is looking for a Digital Health Assistant to provide support in applications quality assurance through thorough end-to-end testing and user documentation across multi-country projects and initiatives focused on leveraging mobile technology to better engage with PSI's target audience; an exciting initiative that provides the opportunity to utilize technology to deliver better health outcomes by bringing care closer to people in low to middle-income countries (LMICs).

Your contribution

The successful candidate will:

• Develop, automate and maintain test scripts for the Workforce Application (Workforce App).

• Execute test scripts, review results against the system specifications and provide a test execution status report.

• Develop and maintain a Standard Operating Procedure (SoP) for reporting and logging software defects.

• Provide first-level support in troubleshooting reported issues/bugs.

• Develop and continually update user documentation and training manuals.

• Respond and follow-up on tickets logged in the helpdesk.

• Provide general technical support and perform other duties as assigned.



What are we looking for?

We are looking for a highly ambitious individual with a passion for Software Quality Assurance. In particular, we are looking for;

• Prior experience with a bias to Software Testing and QA in a related field

• Experience using web-based mobile testing frameworks (e.g. Selenium)

• Programming skills in Javascript, JSON, Python, HTML, or similar

• Demonstrated experience working on mobile technology implementation projects

• Keen attention to detail

• Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills

• Highly organized and can multi-task

• Ability to work with multiple teams across diverse backgrounds and time zones

• Demonstrated capability to deliver high quality work remotely with minimal supervision

• Relevant degree in information systems or technology

• Passion and knowledge of Software Quality Assurance

• Fluency in English.



What would get us excited?

• Fluent in French, Portuguese, or Spanish

• Experience in digital health implementation

• Certification in Software Testing and Quality Assurance

All applicants must be based in Kenya with permission to work.



Timeline:

The timeframe for the role is 1 year with a possibility of extension based on funding and performance
