Purchasing Manager Job, Current Procurement Jobs Kenya 2022,
Our client is Fresh produce distribution company currently recruiting a Purchasing Manager, who will be reporting to the General Manager, Finance and Admin with a dotted line to the CEO and will be in charge of the following duties.
Responsibilities
- Liaising and negotiating with suppliers and customers
- Maintain a high-performance culture in the Purchasing department
- Report any discrepancies in orders received and delivered
- Perform inventory control and keep high quality standards
- Follow quality standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle related to purchase and marketing
- Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers
- Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times regularly
- Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
- Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
- Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies.
Qualifications
- Proven work experience as purchasing manager
- An education background in procurement, supply chain
- Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
- A knack for negotiation and networking
- Solid judgment along with decision making skills
- Strong leadership capabilities
- Interest in market dynamics along with business sense
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
- Record of successful purchase and marketing skills.
