Summary
We are looking for a full-time, permanent Financial Systems & Data Assistant at our Nairobi office in Kenya, within the Finance team. In this role, you will support the Financial Systems & Data Manager in the development, implementation, and administration of the organization’s financial systems, specifically the Finance ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365), as well as improve financial data management.
Specific Responsibilities
- Implement new modules, maintain and update Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Prophix
- Develop accounting reports in Microsoft Dynamics 365, PowerBI and Prophix
- Troubleshoot and resolve Microsoft Dynamics 365 related support requests
- Modify system packages and modules in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Prophix
- Query M-KOPA’s data using SQL to provide relevant data requested
- Assist the Finance team in checking the integrity of the data in the AR file and other data-based reports
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to optimize and improve business processes using technology and data
- Train staff on the use of Microsoft Dynamics 366
- Create training manuals as well as documentation of enhancements and module releases of Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelors’ degree
- CPA or equivalent
Knowledge and Skills
- Experience implementing and managing ERP preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with reporting tools e.g., PowerBI, Prophix
- Excellent Excel ability
- Not afraid to take on complicated systems.
- Finance and operation background is necessary
- Extensive knowledge of organization processes and business models
- Excited to deeply understand the inner workings of the tools you use
- Push through hard problems without giving up
- Can communicate clearly with colleagues who work, speak and think differently
