OUR MANDATE The Kenya Film Classification Board, a state corporation under the Ministry of Sports, Culture and the Arts is mandated by Films and Stage Plays Act Cap 222 of Laws of Kenya to regulate the creation, broadcasting, possession, distribution and exhibition of films in the country with a view to promote national values and morality.

Job Purpose:
Responsible for providing strategic leadership and management oversight for the Human Resources & Administration functions to achieve the overall mandate, business strategy and objectives by reviewing, developing and implementing Human Resource Policies and management programs in line with the constitution of Kenya, National and International Laws.
Responsibilities;
- Interpreting Human Resource Management Policies, regulations and procedures;
- Implementing strategic objectives on Human Resource Functions;
- Managing staff medical scheme, pension, gratuity and other statutory deductions and welfare programmes;
- Overseeing performance management
- Planning, directing and controlling Human Resource Management, developing and implementing of Human Resource Management policies in the Secretariat
- Managing Staff recruitment, selection, induction and placement;
- Deploying staff in conjunction with other departments;
- Managing staff probation, confirmation, promotion and exit process;
- Coordinating Training and Development of staff;
- Managing staff disciplinary processes and grievances;
- Providing support in manpower planning, job analysis and job description;
- Maintaining staff establishment, employee records and Human Resource Information Systems;
- Managing industrial relations
Specifications/Requirements for Appointment;
- Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: – Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, Business Administration (Human Resource Management Option) from a recognised institution;
- Master’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Human Resource Management/Development, Business Administration (Human Resource Management Option), Strategic Management or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution
- Post graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Business/Public Administration or equivalent from a recognised institution
- Membership with Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) in good standing, with a current practicing certificate
- Proficiency in Computer Applications
- A minimum of ten (10) years relevant work experience, three (3) years should be in management
- Certificate in Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognised institutioN
- Demonstrated managerial, administrative and professional competence in work performance
- Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the constitution – Submit Clearance Certificates from the following;
- Higher Education Loans Board
- Kenya Revenue Authority
- Directorate of Criminal Investigation
- Credit Reference Bureau
- Ethics and Anti–Corruption Commission
