The Taita Taveta County Public Service Board invites applications from suitable and qualified Kenyan citizens to fill the following vacant positions in the County Government of Taita Taveta.

POSITION: MEDICAL ENGINEER JG CPSB 09 ‘K’

 Number of Posts: ONE (1)

Terms of Service: Permanent & Pensionable

Basic Salary Scale: As provided for by the Salaries and Remunerations Commission

 Qualifications

• Be a Kenyan Citizen;


• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields: Medical engineering, control and instrumentation, industrial technology (medical engineering option), clinical engineering, electrical engineering and telecommunication, mechanical engineering, electronic engineering or any other equivalent from a recognized institution; and,


• Certificate inn computer application from a recognized institution

Responsibilities

• Implementing medical engineering programs and projects;


• Providing user support;


• Undertaking preventive, maintenance and repairs of medical/hospital equipment, plants, furniture and instruments;


• Installing medical equipment and furniture of medium technology;


• Analyzing information for research;


• Preparing planned   procurement   of   appropriate   medical   equipment   and consumables;


• Maintaining inventory of medical/hospital equipment, furniture and plants;


• Supervising medical engineering works in health facility;


• Updating and maintain information on medical engineering services for input into the health information management system;


• Training users on use and maintenance of medical equipment;


• Testing and calibrating medical equipment; and,


• Guiding and supervising in medical engineering
