Weetabix East Africa Ltd locally manufactures East Africa’s leading Breakfast cereal, Weetabix under license from Weetabix Ltd UK. The company also markets its imported range of products which includes Weetaflakes, Alpen Muesli, Alpen Snack Bars, Weetabix Minis, Weetos, Fruit & Fibre, Branflakes and Oatibix.


THE OPPORTUNITY


We have an exciting opportunity for Area Sales Representative for Nairobi Region to join our powerful General Trade team.


Job purpose.


This role comes with a clear mandate to deliver ambitious top line growth for our Weetabix Brand.


Job Summary



  • Manage Nairobi regional Key customers profitability and ROI

  • Selection of distributors, assessment of capability, skill/experience, attitude etc.

  • Setting up key customers in Nairobi area, including the commercial processes.

  • Preparing the infrastructure blue print for a distributors and key customers.

  • Outlet mapping, channel segmentation, beat planning.

  • Establishing key customer operations: Sales planning, fixing and monitoring of sales targets and key performance metrics and channel plans.

  • Carry out performance review against action standards.

  • Network and take actions where inputs are required in conjunction with the your supervisor

  • Study and understand competitive context and activity and give market feed-back to GT head.


Key Requirements



  • Bachelor’s Degree in business management

  • At least 4 years relevant field sales force experience and proven track record of achieving sales targets in FMCG industry.

  • Proficient in territory development, Channel sales and distribution and Key customer management.

  • Excellent Communication Skills, both written and spoken

  • Good planning and organizational skills.

  • Proficient in data analytics
