Purpose of Consultancy
In line with the 2018- 2023 Strategic Plan the Kenya Civil Society Platform on Oil & Gas (KCSPOG) intends to develop key institutional documents/policies that will guide its operations and ways of working to ensure that there is internal accountability and transparency in its operations. This is critical as the Platform gains more prominence, seeks to expand its influence and possibly expands its membership.
KCSPOG shall hire a consultant to develop the policies.
Objectives of the Consultancy
· Conduct a preliminary assessment of the Platform"s current policies and ways of working
· Develop a human resource policy
· Develop a finance policy
Key deliverables
The consultant shall achieve the above objectives by undertaking the below by:
Human Resource Policy: addresses the key issues of diversity, ethics, remuneration, safety, staff development and security.
Finance policy
Process
The consultant in partnership with the coordinator of the platform shall come up with a two-month work programme based on the deliverables.
The consultant shall provide the coordinator with the two policies.
The consultant shall receive 10% of the fee upfront- 40% after the first draft and 50% once the consultant has completed the work.
Duration of Engagement
The consultant shall be engaged for a total duration of two calendar months.
