Responsibilities
This is the entry and training grade for Certificate holders. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of an experienced officer.
Duties and responsibilities will entail: –
- participating in the provision of fisheries extension services;
- collecting fisheries statistical data, maintaining fish farms and hatchery and
- assisting in ensuring hygiene fish handling at fish landing sites, market and farms.
Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-
- Kenya Certificate of secondary School (KCSE), mean grade C- or its equivalent,
- Attended a two (2) year Certificate in either Fisheries management, Natural Resource Management or an equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
- Certificate in computer application skills from recognized institution.
Additional Requirements
All applicants are expected to attach copies of the following additional documents
- Tax compliance certificates
- Clearance from HELB where necessary
- Clearance from the Ethics and anti- corruption commission
- Clearance from the CRB.
- Certificate of Good Conduct from the police
