Our client, a leading manufacturer of packaging materials is seeking to recruit a Production Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for production operations
- Implementing and monitoring the production process
- Achieving weekly production delivery targets as communicated by management
- Ensuring the production process is cost effective and minimizing waste
- Sourcing for both human and materials resources needed
- Designing a timescale for specific unit production
- Estimating costs of materials and establishing the quality standards
- Supervising and monitoring staff in production, quality control, packaging etc
- Reviewing work performance
- Working with departmental heads to implement the company policies
- Liaising among different departments; suppliers, technical and design
- Ensuring compliance with workplace safety program
- Training of staff for maximum production flexibility
- Prepare and maintain production schedules and reports
- Define energy efficiency goals for production staff
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- A minimum of 5 years working experience; leadership exposure in a manufacturing environment is a must
- Familiarity of manufacturing systems
- Ability to design and translate technical drawings; has used AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, etc
- Computer literate with knowledge of excel
- Good understanding of manufacturing practices, ISO, health and safety programs and standards
