Pharmacy Technician Job Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently preparing prescription orders
- Verifying prescription information and dosage
- Entering patient and order information intthe pharmacy system
- Providing quality customer service tpatients and other healthcare providers
- Pricing and filling of prescriptions
- Completing patient paperwork related tthe filling of prescription
- Stocking and pricing of medications in inventory
- Ensuring availability of drugs by delivering them tpatients or facilities
- Maintaining pharmacy’s (and its patients’ employees’) safety by adhering to infection-control procedures, policies and regulations
- Regular stock-taking tascertain quantities of drugs.
- Required Competencies
- Good communication skills.
- Computer literate.
- Team player.
- Experience with using a computerized system added advantage.
Qualification for the Pharmacy Technician Job
- At least a Diploma in Pharmacy technology.
- Registration with Pharmacy and Poison’s Board.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a busy organization.
- Experience with using a computerized system added advantage.
