Human Resources and Administration Manager.
Our Client a leading Battery Manufacturer in East and Central Africa is looking to recruit a Human Resources and Administration Manager.

Key Responsibilities;



  • Develop and implement a policy framework for a workforce grading system.

  • Overhaul and implement a performance management system.

  • Operationalization of the manpower plan.

  • Identify manpower needs in all departments in line with the company growth.

  • Identify and meet staff training needs to match envisage industrial growth.

  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation programme to foster positive attitude.


  • Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions.

  • Interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems.

  • Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel related data.

  • Management of annual leave schedule.

  • Investigate and report on industrial disputes and/or accidents.

  • Represent the organization at personnel related and union negotiations and forums.

  • Negotiate in collective bargaining agreements and help interpret labour contracts.

  • Prepare budgets for human resource related areas.

  • Compliance with all statutory requirements.

  • Outsource for services that are not our core business e.g. food, cleaning etc.

  • Support, motivate and cultivate a culture of teamwork amongst all staff.


Qualifications;


  • Undergraduate degree in business administration with emphasis on HR.

  • HR professional background.

  • Minimum 6-years prior experience in key areas of HR policies and processes.

  • Prior experience in recruitment, potential assessment, remuneration & performance management.

  • Knowledge and understanding of local labour market and employment law regimes.

  • Experience in CBA.

  • Knowledge of Benefits on compensation programs.

  • Ability to manage teams, empower staff and gain the confidence and respect of senior level managers.

  • Dynamic self starter with the ability to work independently.

  • Ability to apply sound judgment to solve complex business problems.

  • Strong leadership skills with ability to influence key stakeholders and  motivate staff.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.


Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 350,000/= (Approx. 3,500 USD)
