Chief Executive Officer – Nairobi, Kenya
A well established Meat Processing Business based in Rumuruti, currently running ranches and abattoir is seeking to recruit a Chief Executive Officer. This Company’s strategy is to increase its revenue stream by growing the range of value added meat products; therefore the ideal candidate MUST have a strong background in business development and production. Relevant experience working in a manufacturing or production company in a senior management level is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities;
- Procure statutory licenses and permits from relevant bodies and ensure compliance.
- Develop and sustain business relations with both retail and institutional clients.
- Aggressively grow the retail clientele of the business.
- Supervise pricing of products, and grow gross and net profit margins by introducing cost and operating efficiencies.
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure favourable credit terms are provided and that contracts to third party contractors are being awarded fairly.
- Ensure that day-to-day ranches and abattoir operations such as are being handled efficiently.
- Evaluate and implement the retail strategy of supplying to supermarkets and butcheries.
- Overall responsibility for environmental issues and operational health and safety.
- Oversee the recruitment process of staff; interviewing, hiring and training of employees.
- Keep track of weekly, monthly and annual revenues.
Qualifications;
- Must have a Bachelor degree in a relevant field.
- Must have 10 years senior management experience manufacturing or production company.
- Must have a strong background in business development and production.
- Must have a commercial understanding of production operations and margins.
- Must have experience with initiating change and leading improvement programmes.
- Must have experience in developing strategic plans.
Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 500,000 – 750,000/= (Approx. 5,000 – 7,500 USD) depending on experience
