Global Retail Sandwich Store Multi-Unit Manager Job in Kenya




Our client operates one of the largest retail sandwich stores worldwide, they are quickly expanding in Kenya as well as making inroads to other markets. 



They are currently seeking to recruit a Multi-Unit Manager to be part of their versatile team.
 



The incumbent will oversee operations in an allocated number of outlets and ensure provision of standard customer experience in all the outlets. 



He/she will work closely with Restaurant Managers to ensure and oversee maintenance of food standards, recruitment of staff, training, inventory control, local marketing initiatives and offering of exceptional customer service.
 


 


Responsibilities


  • Provides leadership to Managers and Staff in the allocated outlets to ensure compliance with the Brand standards such as food safety, product preparation, and cleanliness and takes corrective action if necessary.

  • Part of the team responsible for set up of new outlets

  • Communicate changes in food preparations formulas, standards, etc. to allocated outlets.

  • Ensures that all local and national health and food safety codes are maintained and company safety and security policies are followed.

  • Support local and national marketing initiatives.

  • Responsible for meeting sales targets set for assigned outlets

  • Plan special events and promotions in different outlets in accordance to the market being served.

  • Coach and train Shift Managers, and Assistant Restaurant Managers, on operational excellence.

  • Monitor training processes to ensure quality training of employees.

  • Assist in developing new hire orientation programs and rewards programs.

  • Develop and maintain staffing levels for Restaurant Managers, Assistant Managers and Supervisors.

  • Work with staff to achieve sales goals, using available reports to identify opportunities.


Qualifications and Experience


  • Degree/Diploma in a relevant field

  • Must have 3-5 years of successful, operational management experience in a restaurant environment.

  • Experience in the set-up, opening of new outlets is preferred

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.

  • Basic math and accounting skills and strong analytical/decision making skills are needed;

  • Demonstrated achievement in staff selection, coaching and development.
