The Company seeks to recruit a General Operations Manager with the following responsibilities;-
Job Description
- To oversee, in co-operation with the MD the implementation of the long and short term strategy of SKIB, conceptualization, monitoring and review of production and expense budgets
- Effective planning, co-ordination, communication, delegation and motivation of the Sedgwick team
- Relation management with Clients, Insurers and industry players
- Understanding the Client’s business and risk profile, their products, developments, structure, financial position, politics, market position and aspirations
- Determining the client’s risk management and insurance needs and ensuring that the Sedgwick team is fully aware of the philosophy
- Formulating an effective and efficient Insurance and Risk management program for the diverse clients
- Ensuring maximum business profitability by:-
- Achieving optimum income consistent with an appropriate competitive service
- Assisting with credit control managing framework for operational efficiency.
- Generating businesses leads and together with the team prepare and present cutting edge proposals that address unique client requirements.
Specific Duties
- Overall Management of claims and Broking Functions.
- Business Management , Conservation and Development
- Works closely with senior management to ensure proper Internal and external reporting within the framework of established financial controls
- Be personally responsible for the management of the Company Key accounts
- In cooperation with the MD, handling of key Business including global/offshore accounts.
- Supervision and appraisal of staff;
Qualifications;
- Mature professional with over ten years experience in Insurance industry preferably in Broking or Insurance Management.
- Demonstrate experience in Business Development and conservation
- Management Experience
- Minimum undergraduate degree coupled with professional qualification preferably ACII.
- Excellent communication, proposal writing and presentation skills.
