Associate – Social Economist
The
International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) – a member of the CGIAR
Consortium (www.cgiar.org) – develops technologies, innovative methods, and new
knowledge that better enable farmers, especially smallholders, to make
agriculture competitive and profitable as well as sustainable and resilient.
CIAT conducts research for development in tropical regions of Latin America,
Africa, and Asia (www.ciat.cgiar.org).
The
Position: CIAT
is seeking for a Research Associate – Social Economist to work within the Soils
Research Area contributing towards targeting climate-smart technologies in East
Africa.
He/she
will work within an interdisciplinary team supporting the implementation of
projects and exploring analytical tools linking socioeconomic and biophysical
datasets, as well as the statistical analyses and preparation of reports.
The
position is nationally recruited and based at the CIAT Regional Office in
Nairobi, Kenya.
