Client is a leading Tyre Manufacturer in Kenya and are currently looking for a Retread Plant Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing
all aspects of the Retread factory to ensure established operational
procedures and benchmarks, company policies, are communicated and adhered
to. - Ensuring
customers are satisfied with retread products and service; this includes
effectively handling customer concerns when required. - Make
recommendations concerning orders for tread rubber and materials and place
orders for the same. - Ensure
production of quality retreads with little or no rejections. - Working
with the Marketing Team to communicate product quality, or product void
areas to serve customers better. - Work
with logistics team to coordinate the picking up and delivery of products
to and from customer locations within established time frames. - Implementing
operation safety practices and regulations leading to retread
manufacturing best practices. - Accurately
track and ensure that factory records are maintained in an accurate and
complete manner. - Assist
in the hiring, orientation, training, development and discipline of
factory employees. - Ensuring
proper maintenance and protection of retread plant facilities, vehicles,
equipment, inventory and other physical assets of company.
Desired Skills and Experiences
- Post-Secondary
Degree/Diploma in production. - Minimum
5 years of experience in a management or supervisory role in a Tyre
manufacturing facility, retread experience is desirable. - Expert
knowledge of manufacturing and process improvement best practices. - Strong
computer skills with intermediate proficiency in all facts or MS Office. - Demonstrated
ability to set goals and achieve results. - General
mechanical ability and aptitude. - Exceptional
communication skills with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain
effective relationships. - Solid
organizational and time management skills. - Proven
ability to build, develop and retain a team focused on quality
manufacturing.

They are currently looking for Regional Managers for the Upcountry Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Eldoret,
Meru, Kakmega, Malindi and Thika.
Key Responsibilities:
- In charge of the field sales team in the
assigned region to drive sales and market development. - Over all in charge of the specific region for
Segment wise Volume & Value objectives - New client acquisitions.
- Establish Critical strategic focus on driving
sales and demand generation. - Deliver a Best in Class Sales organization in
line with concepts and proposals developed by the Business / principals
etc by implementing sales system sales planning exercise. - Relationship management in existing
accounts. - Review contracts and ensure collection within
the specific day’s period etc. - Build a strong sales funnel, provide reliable
forecasts and deliver against forecasts of the team. - Be hands on in developing proposals and
proactive solutions for customers/prospects. - Work closely with marketing team to generate
leads and establish brand equity. - Lead motivate and develop the team of field
executives- Sustain the team of motivated executives through personal
examples and by conducting motivational sessions, feedback programmes
periodically. - Be an effective manager as well as an
individual contributor.
- Deliver Volume, Value Business &
Profitability against targets for the company in coordination with the
sales team. - Deliver a Best in Class Sales organization in
line with concepts and proposals developed by the Business/principals etc
by implementing sales system sales planning exercise. - Undertake Joint Business planning through
analysis of account Sales & Category wise sales, Product Distribution
& Availability for Key Account Customers on a regular basis. - Develop a retail activity calendar along with
marketing in the region for specific products along with marketing
interventions for key products and track performance against set targets. - Embed the Demand Generation and Customer
Contact Program as an integral part of the sales system. - Maintain networking & good relationship
with Key accounts at various levels, functions along with the field
executives. - Identify & exploit business growth
opportunities for field team through visitations/ consumer promotions
& activities in line with company objectives. - Mentor/coach the sales executives in
achieving the Annual Business Plan on a month on month basis. - Generate appropriate reports from the data
analysis for necessary actions & follow-ups. - Ensure timely response to Key account customer
requirements related to pricing, stock availability, billings & supply
coordination in liaison with the Sales, Commercial & Logistics &
teams. - Deliver a Best in Class Sales organization in
line with concepts and proposals developed by the Business.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a Business or Sales
related field. - 6 Years of Sales and Managerial experience.
- Experience in the Tyre and Motor-vehicle
industry will be an added advantage. - People manager-Ability to communicate
effectively and knowledge of key regional areas within the Market. - Good communication skills.
- Results driven with proven Managerial and
Sales experience.
