Duma Works is recruiting a Country Manager for one of our clients, a start up soon to begin operations in Nairobi. 

The company is a crowd-sourcing logistic and parcel service platform, based on a  smartphone app.

Job Description: The Country Manager will be tasked with establishing the company’s presence in Kenya and working with sales and marketing to get our business up and running fast.
 

 

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain quality program delivery by establishing and enforcing organization standards and reporting progress and outcomes


• Manage company operations


• Business development


• Manage the Kenya operational budget and report back to management on state of financials when required


• Ensure the company complies with all statutory requirements as per Kenyan law


• Hire and train local staff and manage performance


• Ensure the smooth running of the local office while fostering a team environment


• Manage the legal requirements and permits for the Kenyan office

Requirements

• Degree in Business administration/Management and/or Business development and/or Finance, Project Management or related


• Project Management (3-5 years’ work experience),


• Budget Creation


• Operations management on a management level


• Experience growing businesses and establishing new markets (Business Development)


• Business Management (1-3 experience)


• Sales Management experience
