Systems Engineer

Location: Nairobi
 

Salary:  35,000 – 43,000 gross

Our client is seeking a well experienced Systems Engineer to joins its team.
 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Vendor Systems Implementations (e.g Microsoft, Oracle, SAP)


• Linux Systems Implementations


• Windows Systems Implementations


• Infrastructure Systems Design


• Data Center

 

Skills & Requirements

• At least a Diploma in IT or Computer Science


• 1 – 2 years’ experience in similar role


• Server Software Systems

1. Microsoft – MCSE Certified and active – Required


2. MCSE – Systems Center / Cloud Systems added advantage


3. Linux     – Ubuntu and CentOS server systems – Required


4. Cloud System –openstack – added Advantage

• ERP, Communication & Collaboration Systems    — Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, FOSS Knowledge in at least one is required


• Server Hardware Systems – Customizing and Configuring Server Systems – HP, DELL, IBM etc

1. Configuring Software RAIDS and Hardware RAIDS – Required


2. Configure SAN – Added Advantage

1. Customization and configuration of NAS, SAN desirable


2. Configuration of Backup Systems desirable
