Job Description: Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering
projects.
Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project
participants to provide assistance and technical support.
Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements,
and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
Reviews contractor bids; interviews and assigns personnel to specific phases and
elements of the project. Through project coordination meetings and other forms of
communication, oversees and coordinates the technical aspects of the project.
Prepares status reports and regularly monitors budgets, contractors and schedules.
Allocates project resources appropriately; employee contractor contracts. Keeps an
accurate record and electronic data base of all elements of the projects.

Qualifications required:
Minimum academic qualification: Diploma/Degree Mechanical Engineering
Experience required:
General work experience (years): Minimum 3 years
Specific to the position (level/discipline/years): Minimum 1 year as a Project Engineer
Industry: Manufacturing
Key competencies and skills:
Possess a broad understanding of the major design engineering disciplines, i.e., Piping,
Equipment, Process, Civil/Structural, Instrumentation, and Electrical.
Effective leadership skills
Effective computer skills; Microsoft Office, Autodesk AutoCAD, MS Project and other
Company and discipline specific software applications
Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and
individuals inside and outside the Company
Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
Language requirements:
English (Read, Write and Speak)
Kiswahili (Read, Write and Speak)
Computer literacy:
MS Office
Autodesk AutoCAD

Ability to work alone and as a member of a team.
Self motivated and willing to work additional hours

Additional/specific work requirements:
Knowledge of Occupational hazards and safety precautions, practices and procedures.
Good Vision & hand eye coordination.
Good Concentration.
Able to work alone or in a group.
Must be able to work outdoor & indoor .
Working in small/confined spaces, working at heights (up to 20 meters) on scaffolds or
platforms.
Required to work in shifts and ready to stretch when required.
