Position Description: The organisation is seeking a highly motivated, ambitious, and experienced Sales Manager to build and lead a high performing sales team across Kenya.
This person will need to have strong leadership skills and the ability to provide direction to a team of Relationship Managers in their efforts to establish the organisation as a household brand within Kenya and beyond.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the Sales Manager are:
- Provide leadership to an existing sales team by supporting and training of sales staff through a structured professional development programme as well as further recruitment and expansion of the team.
- Ensure excellent results through planning, monitoring, counselling and disciplining employees as appropriate
- Foster and maintain highly effective links with the marketing department to ensure the creation and implementation of a national sales action plan.
- Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
- Work closely with the Country Director to establish and adjust selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand
- Oversee the implementation, management and maintenance of the CRM system to ensure excellent customer service at all times through the sales team.
- Act as a primary organisation representative and ambassador for the organisation’s brand offering customers valuable face to face contact.
- Demonstrate professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Educate customers of the features and benefits of the organisation’s products and help build awareness of our brand and business.
- Maintain good communication links with the Country Director and respond to the needs of both colleagues and customers in order to ensure a customer-focused approach at all times.
- Maintain a cost-focused approach to the business ensuring that maximum sales are achieved at the minimum cost possible through effective management of KPIs
- Carry out any other appropriate duty as required by the organisation’s business
