Job Description
Esopharm Limited, a full youth owned enterprise operating small scale pharmacies that specializes in dispensing of drugs to its esteemed clients is looking for two (2) pharmaceutical technologists to support her expansion strategy and deliver on her mission “to offer a world class drug portfolio, to the local mwananchi, through provision of quality affordable drugs”
Location: Kisumu and Butere
Salary: Negotiable
Summary of the job role:
- Dispense prescribed medications
- Manage OTC clients appropriately
- Drug supplies management (monitor inventory level, prioritize orders and do periodic stock takes)
- Proper record management within the job role and as required by the PPB Act
- Prepare and submit reports on daily, weekly and monthly sales and expenses
- Ensure banking of daily sales proceeds as appropriate
- Responsible for achieving agreed sales targets as appropriate
- Establish and maintain good relationships with clients, suppliers, medical representatives and doctors
- Supervise the support staffs where applicable
- Advice the management on areas of improvement for the growth of the enterprise
Personal Attributes:
- High level of customer service, integrity, belief in progress and professional responsibility
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Willing to work late night (for Kisumu branch)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma in Pharmacy
- Experience in a similar position in a retail pharmacy
- Strong business acumen and customer development skills
- Ability to diagnose OTC cases and prescribe appropriate treatment
- Demonstrable computer skills/literacy
- Knowledge of the local dialect will be a plus
Desirable Requirement(s): In line with our strategy to fully comply with the PPB Act and regulations, a licensed pharmaceutical technologist ready to immediately pick up the job (and superintendent at prevail market rate 1 of our 4 outlets effective 2016) is most preferred.
