Vacancy: Foreman 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Daily site report.


• Supervising site personnel, sub-contractors and work assignments.


• Ordering materials onsite with approvals from Project Manager and following up on site materials deliveries.


• Delegating job assignments to site personnel.


• Monitoring the quality of work done.


• Link between client and project manager.


• Labour controls-Calculating daily casual wages and submitting the report to project manager.


• Ensure that projects equipment and all company resources allocated to the project are economically utilized.


• Tracking of machinery and equipment in, within site and out materials.


• Ensure casuals safety on site.


• Keep proper records of employee’s attendance on daily basis.


• Any other duties that may be assigned to you by your superiors.

 

Skills and Specifications

• Foreman must be honest and reliable to his employers.


• Measurement of building works, estimating and costing.


• Materials and concrete technology.


• Civil engineering construction, drawing and structures.


• Foreman must always be prepared to work hard for the team and create favourable impression of his employer organization to the clients.


• Time management- must achieve all assignments.


• He must be of sound health as his job may require him to work during night shifts, long working hours.


• He must undertake full responsibility for site management.

Reports

• Progress report on daily basis, proper communications to office and project manager.


• Report all challenges affecting both the company and the clients business and possible solutions to mitigate the same.


• Daily reports for machinery and equipment on the site.


• Submitting casual daily wages calculations to the office.


• Daily attendance of all site personnel.

Education and Qualifications

• Degree/diploma in civil engineering.


• Valid Driving licence


• Soil mechanics and hydraulics.


• Workshop technology and construction.


• Valid Good Conduct Certificate
