Vacancy: ICT Manager – Vehicle Tracking Solutions (Arusha)
Our Client a leading regional provider of Fleet Management and Vehicle Tracking Solutions based in Tanzania.
We are looking for a dynamic individual to take up the position of ICT Manager.
The incumbent will be tasked with a duty to manage the ICT Department to ensure best industry standards and practices are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of Fleet Management and Vehicle Tracking System Software and Servers
- Manage the ICT Department on a day to day basis and motivate team to work in the most efficient manner
- Be on the forefront of emerging industry practices.
- ICT Policy, Strategy, Procedures and Controls Development and Formulation
- Holds regular meetings with ICT team and effectively manages these sessions.
- Inspires colleagues to attain goals and pursue excellence.
- Ensuring adherence to company backup and disaster recovery plan
- Supervise and Ensure timely resolution of ICT Related help desk issues.
- Recruitment of new ICT Team members
- Serves as main point of contact on all ICT-related matters for the company
- Oversee Network Design/Configuration, Implementation and Maintenance,
- Implementation of network security as required by Company policy
- Oversees troubleshooting and resolution of general user problems,
- Project Management
- Database Management, Forms and Reports creation
- System Administration – Upgrades, New hardware/ software and configuration, and related patches to conform to HW and OS environment.
- Testing and administration
- Mail Servers Management
- Monitoring service and performance levels of ICT Suppliers
- Staff and User Training
- Managing Windows and Linux mail and exchange servers
- Programming and Website Design/Management Skills
- Monitor stability, connectivity and performance of the Information access interfaces environment and related storage capacity
- Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions
- Some Knowledge of: Visual Basic, VB.Net, JAVA,C++, VISUAL C++, CSS, JAVA SCRIPT, MYSQL DATABASE, Joomla, WordPress, PHP.
Minimum Requirements
- 5 Years ICT Project Management experience in a busy Vehicle Tracking Environment
- Minimum 2 years experience in Fleet Management Company preferably part of this at managerial level
- Bachelors Degree or Advanced Diploma in IT or Computer Science
- Extensive knowledge of the exposure to fleet management and vehicle tracking industry and systems is a must have.
