Sales Officer
Location: Nairobi
Salary: 50,000 plus Commissions
Our client, a Travel and Transport solutions company specializing in Car rentals, Cab services, Corporate and Personal travel solutions is seeking a dynamic person to fill the post of Sales Officer.
Position Overview: You will be actively involved in sales strategy, generating new sales leads and client service activities in line with business strategy
Duties & Responsibilities
- Formulating sales strategies for the firms products
- Identifying sales prospects and contacts and other accounts as assigned.
- Presenting and selling company products and services to new and existing clients.
- Identifying sales opportunities and presenting benefits and key features of products effectively to acquire new business
- Searching proactively for new revenue generating opportunities to meet the company targets and following up on new leads and referrals.
- Preparing quotes, proposals and sales contracts.
- Developing and maintaining sales materials and current product knowledge.
- Managing the agreed levels of calling activity to raise revenue or volume streams
- Researching prices and products of competitors.
- Compiling sales progress reports on a weekly/monthly and end of year and proactively addressing shortfall on targets due to be achieved
- Adhering to the company external or internal customer care policies and procedures.
- Attending trade shows to exhibit products/services or conferences to keep abreast of the latest products and trends.
- Participating in marketing events and attending sales meetings
- Creating new business relationships with potential clients
- Maintaining business relationships with existing clients
- Liaising with clients to get feedback on their satisfaction
- Telesales
- Develop and maintain an online/social media marketing platform
- Supervision of travel officers with regards to sales generation of airline tickets and hotel bookings.
Requirements & Skills
- Bachelors degree in Sales and Marketing
- At least a five (5) year experience in Sales and Marketing
- Sales and marketing experience in a Travel solutions environment a MUST
- Outgoing, dynamic and well versed with travel and transport industry
- Ability to negotiate and close business deals
- Significant experience in professional client relationship management
- Ability to plan and strategize
- Persuasive with confident approach to Sales
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Effective team management capabilities
