Institute of Capacity Development (ICAD) is the consulting and executive training arm of KCA University established in 1999 to provide; value added management, consultancy and business skills training to professionals in the industry, public service, and non-governmental organizations in Kenya and the Region.
ICAD seeks to recruit a result oriented and highly innovative candidate to fill the following position:-
Training & Consultancy Administration Manager
Job Objective: To raise ICAD’s profile by supporting the execution, management and administration of institutions’ capacity development.
This will be achieved through business consultancy initiatives that drive revenue, customer acquisition and retention.
- To disseminate information concerning ICAD programs and services available.
- To execute enrollment strategies.
- To prepare annual budget requests.
- To provide office management functions including managing departmental events.
- Identification and response to requests for proposals.
- Management and administration of training and consultancy assignments.
- Generation of departmental training and consultancy reports.
- Coordination and management of trainings.
- To build referral and lead generation network and ensure proactive sustainability and competitiveness through proactive networking, effective interaction, and liaisons with internal and external stakeholders.
- To collect, document and analyze market information and competitive intelligence
- To proactively conduct needs and opportunity assessments to uncover opportunities, prospects, and leads for an assigned sector; and pursue these leads with current and prospective clients.
- Preparation of management reports, billing of students and participants,
- Convening departmental meetings & drafting agenda.
- Follow-up of students & participants for fee payment and registration.
- Logistical support for procurement requisitions for training materials.
- Coordination and management of exams, results and graduation.
- To proactively initiate records and manage client interface including mail, telephone, email, and electronic communication to help uncover and respond to opportunities, prospects and leads.
- Any other duties assigned from time to time.
Qualifications & Experience
- Masters of Business Administration.
- Bachelor degree in Education or other social sciences.
- At least five years’ experience in handling administrative duties.
- Experience in sales and marketing will be an added advantage
Other Skills and Competences
- Superior organizational and people’s skills
- Knowledge of the Consulting and Executive Training Industry in Kenya and East Africa.
- Demonstrable track record of managing a busy customer portfolio, executive and training calendar.
- Solid skills in research, analysis, business prospecting, and proposal writing.
- Excellent organizational skills including planning, record keeping, budgeting, cost control, supervisory skills and ability to cope with competing and conflicting demands, projects, priorities, and tasks.
- Superior customer/client care and management skills and excellent problem solving ability.
- Strong written, oral, email, telephone and presentation communication skills
- Strong computer skills in Project Management, Word and Data processing.
