Nation Media Group is the largest independent media house in East and Central Africa with operations in print, broadcast and digital media.
It attracts and serves unparalleled audiences in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda, and seeks to consolidate this position by recruiting an Agency Business Executive in the Advertising Department.
The Role: The Agency Business Executive will be charged with selling creatives and innovative advertising solutions for Daily Nation, Taifa Leo, Business Daily, East African and Nation Digital products, providing effective services to clients so as to maximize advertising sales volumes.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve set annual and monthly targets for multimedia advertising sales;
- Increase advertising opportunities within NMG’s products which will translate to higher revenues;
- Deliver high quality customer service to clients;
- Support, maintain and grow business contacts with both the existing and potential advertising clients and agents;
- Develop strategy to increase sales volumes and market share.
Qualifications & Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business related field;
- Professional diploma qualification in Marketing will be an added advantage;
- 2 years’ experience in media sales;
- Passion for media innovation and solutions;
- A strong negotiator and team player;
- Good communication and presentation skills;
- Proactive approach to work, persuasive and articulate;
- Technical ability in Sales with commitment to achieve results.
