About our Company: Today’s farmers face many challenges. Governments, organizations and customers force farmers to reduce chemical residues on crops and improve pest control.
This is in an environment where pests are getting more resistant to chemicals and a worldwide concern for the impact of chemicals on bees is growing.
Location: Bungoma county and surroundings; Kericho county and surroundings; Migori county and surroundings;
About the role: As a Sales Representative Smallholders you will be responsible for sales to tomato smallholders in your area. You will visit tomato farmers and explain about our specific products. You will gather farmer groups and cooperatives to do demonstration trials and showcase our products.
Tomato is one of the most widely grown and consumed vegetables in Kenya. Twenty-one percent of the total value of all vegetables grown in Kenya is derived from tomatoes.
Key Criteria
In order to be eligible you need to possess the following characteristics
- Reliable personality
- Affinity with sales
- Ability to work autonomously
In order to be eligible you need to possess the following background/knowledge
- Experience with farming (preferably tomato farming)
- Knowledge of pests and agrochemicals
- Knowledge of spoken and written English, Swahili and the local language in the area of responsibility
You will receive training on marketing and sales as well as on Kenya Biologics’ products.
After the training you will find yourself in a challenging job where you will be able to work independently.
Salary: KES 10,000 – 15,000.
Hours: Full time (45 hours)
