Main purpose of the job: The overall responsibility of the Finance Manager is to ensure that the key responsibilities associated with this role are performed in an accurate and timely manner and to manage the finance department for the MB East Africa.
Preparation, review, analysis and ownership of Profit and Loss accounts for MBEA including variance analysis and expense smoothing on a monthly basis.Completion of Balance Sheets and ensure that general ledger reconciliations are performed for MBEA on a monthly basis and ensuring follow up action for correction of errors.Monitoring working capital levels for MBEA.Supervising the Finance staff in completion of their duties.Monitoring and administering banking systems for MBEA.Management of fixed asset register for MBEAEnsuring that debts are collected in timely manner and provide explanations for any debt above 90days.Working with the regional Finance team from South Africa , Singapore and Sydney with:Quarterly re forecasts (P&L, Capex, Client Revenue etc)Monthly and end of year accountsBudgets preparation and review of variances as compared to actuals.Monitoring cash-flow and cash holdings for MBEA.Transferring funds as required.Be the principal custodian of SOX controls and this will entail implementation of WPP policies and procedures at local level.Coordinate and ensure annual internal and external audits are done and completed as scheduled.Regular review of revenue levels based on percentage of completion of each job.
