Job Description The management Forward Travellers Sacco Ltd would like to invite qualified candidates for the under mentioned position:Chief Accountant Supervision of accounts staffVerification of accuracy of accounting data.Ensuring that all Bank Reconciliations are done on a daily basis.Check and authorize all payment Vouchers.Maintain a record of all receipt books and other source documents.Design and implement sound accounting procedures.Check the petty Cash book on a daily basis.Ensure proper maintenance of members’ accountsEnsuring that Data backup is done on a daily basis.Proper maintenance of the fixed assets registersProduction of trial balance and review monthly reconciliations of all accountsMaintain tax records and other statutory deductionsLiaise with external auditors with regard to preparation of accountsCo-ordinate the production of financial and management informationSupervise the updates of general ledgerPayroll processingPosting all transactions to the general ledgerEnsure daily preparation of cash book balancesAny other assignment given by the Finance ManagerBachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance. A Diploma in the same field will be an added advantage.Must have a minimum CPA final or its equivalent.Experience of working in co-operative institution shall be an added advantage.At least 30 years of age.At least 3 years relevant experience.Must be computer literate with at least one relevant accounting package.A valid driving license an added advantage.How to Apply
